Peter and Jim Moore rush to the aid of injured gull.

Jim and Peter untangle the gull.

Dead gull which had been tangled up with rescued gull.

Jim Moore, Divisional Manager with the NPWS visited the project site on Tuesday of this week.  He met with Peter Phillips, Aine Walsh, Sandra and myself who are the team who organise the Little Tern Conservation Project.  He was very interested in the project and discussed it with us at length.  He was particularly impressed with the huge volunteer effort that is such an important part of the project and he felt that much praise is due to our trusty band of volunteers.  We were delighted to meet Jim, it was thanks to the NPWS and their decision to fund us in 2007 that the project began at that time and they have continued to fund us since then.
